Susie Metcalfe

About

Susie is a Clinical Psychologist who provides psychological assessment and therapy to youth and adults. She has worked in public and private settings with people from all walks of life. She has a non-judgemental and client-centred approach.

Susie is experienced in the application of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-based therapy, and Eye Movement and Desensitisation (EMDR) therapy.

Susie completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Curtain University of Technology in Perth and her Bachelor of Psychology at James Cook University in Cairns. She has conducted research in inpatient settings with a passion for the real-world application of psychology. Susie has practised and taught mindfulness-based practices for over 12 years.   

Susie is passionate about tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs and strengths so that they can improve their well-being, make desired changes and reach their goals for themselves, relationships, and achievements.
