About
Richard is a registered clinical psychologist who provides psychological assessment and treatment for adults and young adults experiencing mental health conditions and general psychological distress. He has worked with clients who have experienced depression, anxiety, stress and burnout, post-traumatic stress, substance use issues, panic, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and personality disorders. He is also a Psychology Board of Australia board-approved supervisor, providing clinical supervision for psychologists and psychology registrars.
He has consulted in a variety of treatment settings including private practice, hospital inpatient, and drug addiction treatment facilities in Melbourne, Australia, and in university counselling settings in China.
Richard’s clinical management focuses on the establishment of rigorous clinical governance frameworks and processes that minimise clinical risks and ensure a smooth journey through treatment. He is the Clinical Director of Wise Psychology and Director of Wellbeing Services at University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
As a practitioner, Richard’s practice is strongly informed by attachment theory, Schema Therapy, and psychodynamic theoretical frameworks.
